TELESCREEN
44 x 40" oil on canvas
Orwell (James, Blair) was so very wrong in his book "1984". With lotteries and multi channels TV authorities can feed us all the pap they want.

A HORSE A CELEBRATION
48 x 32' oil on canvas
It is rumored that this horse can still be seen on foggy days. A percheron stallion who resisted being captured by the occupiers used to approach children, but took off soon as grown-ups came close. This horse was near magical and deserves to be celebrated as a symbol of freedom.

POWER PLAY
80 x 44" oil on canvas
What we know about power structures is mainly through books, theatre or film. It was the center panel of a five panels/and is my version of an oil play.

THE PARADE
42 x 33" oil on canvas
Military or marching band parades have always amuse me. My mother always compared to it the strutting of a rooster in a barnyard it is the left hand panel to "Power Play"

NORTHERN DREAM
86 x 47" oil on canvas
Part of Canadian anthology. The sun has been caught and is tethered in place, and people flock to see it. The great victory - but then everything starts to melt.

NETMINDER
35 x 23" oil on canvas
Net minders seem to have an unfair task in a hockey game. They should be allowed to "net" any player who crosses the line.

PENDER STREET (right side pane)
93 x 33" oil on canvas
An interesting part of a street in Chinatown. It was an interesting experience to sketch, and measure up the building. Hopefully it remains a point of interest in Vancouver
